The SWIFT network is the recognised standard global network for financial transactions. More than any other, SWIFT is synonym to cash payment.

ObjectLab developed a SWIFT interface as part of a project for a German Bank. The module included the maintenance of standard settlement instructions for both the Bank and its clients. Each instruction is subject to a maker-checker security system whereby a change made by a user will only be activated if it is approved by another user with similar role.

The MT2xx messages (MT202, MT210 and cancellation MT292) were part of this real-time interface using WebSphere MQ and JMS. ObjectLab analysed, designed, developed, tested and supported the interface.

The interface has now been in production since 2003 and has transferred billions of pounds, euros, dollars, francs etc without a single issue about performance nor security.
